Ride Report: Round Trip to the Steel Bridge

Today I rode to the Steel Bridge and back on my lunch. Total time in the saddle of my mountain bike, about 40 minutes.

According to the Gmaps Pedometer, my total distance was 5.72 miles. Today I took Moody Ave all the way through the River Blocks construction zone.

I passed the Cirque du Soleil encampment.

Once on the waterfront, I quickly noticed that quite a few homeless people and potential hooligans (not necessarily one in the same) hang out there as well. Maybe it is because I haven't been downtown in a while or because I was riding my shiny full-suspension mountain bike, but I decided there were quite a few groups of people that I would not want to stop by or ride too close to on my own choice. That might be another reason to bring my commuter to work instead; so that I will not be as "noticeable" if I ride that route frequently. I'm not worried about my safety or anything. There are plenty of other folks just hanging around or jogging or whatever...
